Online invoice
Every finalised invoice gets an online page your customer can view, download and pay. You see when it was viewed, and you can renew or switch off the link.
As soon as you finalise an invoice, it gets its own web page: the online invoice. Your customer sees the invoice there, can download the PDF and the e-invoice, and can pay right away.
Sharing the link
Open the invoice. Under Online invoice you can:
- Copy link: paste it in a WhatsApp message, a chat or your own email.
- Open online invoice: see what your customer sees. Your own visits don't count.
When you send the invoice by email or send a reminder, the link is included automatically.
The link looks like https://eenfactuurmaken.nl/i/… with a long random code. Only people with the link can see the invoice. Search engines don't index the page.
What does your customer see?
- The invoice in the invoice language, with your logo and colours.
- A pay button if the invoice has a payment link, and the payment QR code.
- Download PDF. This PDF has the e-invoice (UBL) embedded.
- Download UBL, for accounting software.
Viewed
When your customer opens the page, the invoice shows Viewed on with the date, and how often it's been viewed. The timeline says Viewed online by your customer. Visits within half an hour count as one. Your own visits (while signed in) don't count.
New link or switch off
Did the link end up with the wrong person?
- Create a new link: the old link stops working immediately; you get a new one.
- Switch link off: nobody can view the invoice online anymore. You can create a new link later.
How long does the link work?
The link keeps working while the invoice is outstanding. Once the invoice is paid, cancelled or fully credited, it works for another 90 days. After that your customer sees This link has expired. Creating a new link restarts that period. For credit notes the 90 days count from finalising.
On the Free plan the online invoice also disappears when the invoice is deleted after 60 days. See Storage and retention.
