# Products

Save products and services with a price, unit and VAT rate, and add them to an invoice line with a single click.

Do you often invoice the same thing, like an hourly rate, a subscription or a package? Save it as a **product**. Then you fill an invoice line with one click.

## Adding a product

Go to **Products** and click **New product**:

| Field | Explanation |
| --- | --- |
| Name | For example "Web design" or "Hosting per year". Required. |
| Description | Printed below the name on the invoice line. |
| Unit | piece, hour, day, month, year, km, m² and more. |
| Price | Excl. VAT, per unit. |
| VAT | 21%, 9%, 0% or another percentage. |
| SKU | Optional, for your own records. |

## Using it on an invoice

In an invoice line, click **Pick a product** and search for it. Name, description, unit, price and VAT are filled in. You can still change anything on that line afterwards; the product itself doesn't change.

If you later change a product's price, that only applies to new lines. Existing invoices stay as they are.

## Deleting and archiving

A product that's used on an invoice is archived instead of deleted. It disappears from the picker, but your invoices stay intact. You can restore it.

## Free plan limit

On the Free plan you can have up to **25 active products**. Archived products don't count. With Pro it's unlimited.
